Oh, hi there.
Here’s a reminder for anybody who keeps posting content and finding themselves wondering: “Is anybody even listening?”
So I recently signed up a new client who has been following my content for the past few years – this isn’t anything ‘new’ but I wanted to share it here because it’s an amazing reminder of the power of consistency and the impact it can have on our professional journey.
𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝘾𝙊𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨.
This client reached out to me after following me on Instagram, watching some of my YouTube videos, and then heading over to my website for more info about a course I created.
This led to us having a ‘virtual coffee’ video call and -as a result – we will be working together for the next four months after they realised investing in my offer (a high-ticket coaching package) was going to be the obvious next step for them to take.
It’s a true testament to the value of showcasing our expertise and building a trustworthy brand presence over TIME (in other words: it can happen but it’s very rare that somebody will just interact with ONE piece of content then sign-up to work with you).
What I want you to take from this is simple: sometimes we may feel like our content isn’t yielding immediate results, but it’s crucial to remember that people continue to see and associate us with what we do over time.
The seeds we plant through consistent content creation have the potential to bear fruit when the right opportunities arise.
The lesson here is simple:
Instead of solely focusing on vanity metrics and superficial indicators of success, it’s essential to prioritise being consistent in front of the right audience.
By consistently providing valuable insights and solutions to the problems our target audience faces, we position ourselves as the go-to person when they need someone who can deliver.
So, let this be a friendly reminder to all of us: don’t underestimate the power of consistency and long-term thinking. Every piece of content we create, every video we share, and every article we write has the potential to shape our professional trajectory.
Stay dedicated to your craft, continue adding value, and trust that your efforts will pay off in due time.
